a small New England working farm and safe haven for animals in Barre, Massachusetts
Fisher Cats aren't cats at all, they are musteliuds (weasels). They can weigh up to 15lbs. Fisher Cats are voracious hunters and a real threat to farm animals that aren't kept in well-built shelters. They're mostly nocturnal, so they're unlikely to be seen around the farm. When I shine a flashlight up into the trees at night, it's entirely possible that the glowing eyes that I see are those of a  Fisher Cat, or more likely, a Raccoon.
